Flemish Style Painting
After learning about Jan van Eyck, Painting II students created their own Flemish Sytle Painting. A Flemish painting is usually realistic and full of symbols. These symbols can be obvious or obscure and they can be universal symbols or personal symbols. Below are some of the paintings from this unit.
Flemish Painters
The two flemish painters we focused in this first unit were Jan van Eyck and Sandro Botticelli. Below are the paintings that we studied and viewed in Painting II.
